Spelman College’s growing collection attests to the spectrum of works that women artists of the African Diaspora create. It is in alignment with the College’s longstanding charge to shape, mold, and prepare Black women to make indelible contributions to society in all arenas. Holdings include works by emerging, mid-career, and established artists. The Spelman College collection also reflects the institution’s sustained commitment to artists in the Atlanta University Center.
