The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art is located in the West End area of Atlanta.

Our address is 350 Spelman Lane, Atlanta, GA 30314.

The Museum is located on the first floor of the Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D. Academic Center.

The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art is free and open to the public.

There is a small parking fee.

Donations are always appreciated.

Occasionally there are activities for school-age children. Exhibitions may contain artworks that have nudity or difficult subjects. 

If you are a Spelman department, you can submit a detailed request by email with information regarding use of the Museum for our review. The Museum is not available for private use or use beyond the Spelman Community.

Spelman museum seeks to show and support the spectrum of works created by women artists of the African Diaspora. It is in alignment with the College’s longstanding charge to shape, mold, and prepare Black women to make indelible contributions to society in all areas. Artists are invited to show in the museum and we do not accept solicitations.

The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art may photograph, film, record audio or videotape guest for educational and /or promotional purposes. Visitation is implied consent for the use of the guest’s likeness, voice or video image for marketing purposes. Spelman College advises visitors that they are subject to being photographed or recorded and their presence on campus acknowledges that they accept this policy. Signs posted throughout campus indicate the policy in detail. If visitors to the Museum prefer not to be photographed, they should feel free to notify the Museum Ambassador at the front desk or a member of the Museum staff.

Yes, for approved photography or video capture – NO FLASH. For the enjoyment of all visitors, please keep cell phone conversations to a minimum. We ask that all phones be set to silent, vibrate, or turned off during your visit.
