The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art is the only Museum in the nation that focuses on art by and about women of the African Diaspora. The Museum is seeking Student Assistants (2) to work closely with the Museum staff to provide assistance and support to the Museum’s operations and its three core priorities: exhibitionsprograms, and the permanent collection.

Applicants must possess the ability to prioritize effectively and interact in a diverse community and with diverse constituents (i.e. alumnae, students, AUC faculty and staff, Friends of the
Museum, the general public). She must be able to demonstrate:

Qualifications:

Strong communication, organizational, extensive research, and writing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point); proficiency on multiple social media
platforms; the ability to work independently; attention to detail and a sense of responsibility for the projects undertaken. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff,
volunteers, and the general public. Students with an interest in art history and visual culture are especially encouraged to apply.
