PRESENCE: Meditations on the Spelman College Collection features a selection of the Spelman College’s newest gifts and latest acquisitions. Organized by the Museum’s Curator of Collections Anne Collins Smith, C’96, the exhibition includes works by critically acclaimed artists Mequitta AhujaFirelei BáezFabiola Jean-LouisNandipha MntamboToyin Ojih OdutolaDeborah RobertsBerni SearleCarrie Mae WeemsBillie Zangewa, and many others. It also features a work by Louisiana Bendolph, one of the quilters of Gee’s Bend, a gift from the Souls Grown Deep Foundation.
