Jontyle Robinson, Ph.D. is a Clark Atlanta University alumna and the curator of the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art’s first exhibition, Bearing Witness: Contemporary Works by Black Women Artists (1996). She recounts the details of this important moment in the Museum’s history and shares her experiences shepherding a major gift of African Art and mentoring students, while engaging with artists like Herman Kofi Bailey and Beverly Buchanan.
