From February to May 2013, the Museum and StoryCorps collected interviews about creativity by women of the African Diaspora. Friends of the Museum, students, faculty, staff, and other community partners participated in this oral history project that spanned over three generations, six states, and two continents.

A number of participants have been involved so far:

The Museum’s partnership with StoryCorps has been featured in Inside Spelman, Arts ATL, and StoryCorps’ national newsletter, which reaches over 40,000 subscribers. This collaboration would not have been possible without the dynamic contributions of the storytellers such as Briana Dixon and Nia Milner.
