There are seven departments within the Division of Business and Financial Affairs which work together to provide administrative services to the Spelman community. A list of the departments with a brief description of their functions follows:

 
Office of the Controller
Staff within this office are responsible for recording financial
transactions, producing financial reports and establishing and monitoring financial information systems.
Office of Budgets and Contracts
Staff within this office are responsible for the financial management of college and sponsored program funds.
Office of Student Financial Services
The purpose of this office is to assist students in seeking and obtaining financial assistance and to ensure that Spelman College is in compliance with Federal and State financial aid program regulations.
Office of Administrative Support Services
Staff within this department provide the following services: purchasing, telecommmunication services, reproduction services, mail center services, facility reservations and vending machine services.
Department of Public Safety
The Department of Public Safety is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the members of the college community.
Office of Human Resources
The Office of Human Resource provides full-service human resources functions for the college, including, but not limited to: recruitment and retention of staff, training and development, salary administration, etc.
Facilities Management
Facilities Management is responsible for the upkeep and
maintenance of the campus grounds and buildings.
